Temporary Total Disability

Temporary Total Disability (TTD) is a workers’ compensation benefit paid to employees who are injured at work and cannot perform their regular job duties for a limited period. During this time, the employee is fully disabled, meaning they are unable to work at all until they recover enough to return or reach maximum medical improvement. TTD provides financial support to cover lost wages while the employee heals. It usually continues until the worker is able to resume work or a healthcare provider determines they are no longer temporarily disabled.
