Temporary resident visas

A Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) is an official authorization allowing someone to enter and stay in a country for a specific period, usually for tourism, visiting family, studying, or short-term work. It does not grant permanent residence or citizenship. The visa is usually stamped or stickered into a passport and requires applicants to meet certain requirements, such as proof of funds, ties to their home country, and purpose of visit. Once the authorized period ends, the person must leave the country unless they apply for an extension or other immigration status.
