Teleoperation

Teleoperation is a technology that allows a person to control a machine or robot remotely, often over long distances. Using a computer interface, a human operator can send commands—such as moving or manipulating objects—while receiving real-time feedback from sensors, cameras, or instruments on the machine. This setup is commonly used in environments that are dangerous, inaccessible, or too small for humans, like deep-sea exploration, space missions, or hazardous material handling. Essentially, teleoperation extends human capabilities by enabling control of remote systems as if they were directly present.
