Telangana Rebellion
The Telangana Rebellion (1946-1951) was a peasant-led uprising against feudal landlords and their control over land and resources in the Hyderabad State, which was then under princely rule. Peasants, inspired by socialist ideas, fought for land rights and social justice. The rebellion challenged the oppressive, aristocratic landowning system and was part of broader efforts to integrate Hyderabad into independent India after British rule ended. It ultimately contributed to land reforms and the end of feudal privileges in the region.
