Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC)

The Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) is a coalition of various political, social, and student groups formed to advocate for the creation of a separate state of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh. Established in 2008, TJAC coordinated protests, rallies, and campaigns to mobilize public support and pressure the government to fulfill the demand for Telangana statehood. It served as a unified platform to voice regional aspirations, aiming to address issues such as development, employment, and rights specific to Telangana residents. The committee played a significant role in the movement that ultimately led to the formation of Telangana in 2014.
