Tecumseh

Tecumseh was a Native American leader of the Shawnee tribe in the early 19th century. He is best known for his efforts to unite various Indigenous nations in resistance against the encroachment of American settlers on their lands. Tecumseh's vision was to create a confederation of tribes to preserve their territories and way of life. He fought in the War of 1812 alongside the British against American forces but was killed in 1813 at the Battle of the Thames. Tecumseh is remembered as a symbol of Native American resistance and a champion of Indigenous rights.
