Technicolor Theory

Technicolor Theory is a concept in particle physics proposing an alternative to the Higgs mechanism for giving particles mass. Instead of relying on a fundamental Higgs particle, it suggests a new strong force called “technicolor” that creates bound states of hypothetical particles called technifermions. These bound states behave similarly to the Higgs field, enabling particles like W and Z bosons to acquire mass through their interactions with technifermion condensates. This theory aims to explain electroweak symmetry breaking without introducing elementary scalar particles, offering a dynamic and potentially more natural mechanism within the framework of quantum field theory.
