Team Tartan Racing

Team Tartan Racing was a university-led robotics team from Carnegie Mellon University that developed a self-driving car named "Boss." They competed in the DARPA Urban Challenge, a contest to create autonomous vehicles capable of navigating complex city environments safely and efficiently. Their car used sensors, cameras, and advanced algorithms to perceive surroundings, make decisions, and drive autonomously. In 2007, Team Tartan Racing won the competition, demonstrating significant advancements in autonomous vehicle technology that contributed to the progress of driverless car development.
