Teak trees

Teak trees are tall, evergreen trees native to Southeast Asia, well-known for their durable, dense wood called teak. This wood contains natural oils and silica, making it resistant to water, pests, and decay, which is why it's highly valued for furniture, flooring, and boat-building. Teak trees typically grow slowly, reaching up to 130 feet, and require a warm, tropical climate to thrive. They play an important role in their ecosystems and are also cultivated commercially, although sustainable harvesting practices are essential to prevent overexploitation.
