Te Whāriki

Te Whāriki is New Zealand’s early childhood curriculum, providing a framework to support children's learning and development from birth to five years old. It emphasizes a holistic approach, fostering children’s well-being, curiosity, and sense of identity through four main principles: empowerment, holistic development, family and community, and relationships. The curriculum encourages opportunities for children to explore, problem-solve, and build confidence within caring, inclusive environments.
