TCM theories
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) views health as a balance of vital energy called Qi, flowing through pathways known as meridians. It emphasizes harmony between the body's organs, emotions, and environment. TCM concepts include Yin and Yang, representing opposite but complementary forces, and the balance of the Five Elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—that influence health. Illness is seen as an imbalance or blockage of Qi, and treatments like acupuncture, herbal medicine, and moxibustion aim to restore harmony and promote natural healing. TCM integrates physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects for overall well-being.
