TB diagnostic methods

Tuberculosis (TB) diagnosis involves several tests. A common method is a skin test, where a small amount of substance is injected under the skin; if you have TB, a raised bump forms. Blood tests are also used to detect immune responses indicating TB infection. Additionally, sputum samples (mucus from the lungs) are analyzed using microscopes and cultures to find TB bacteria directly. In some cases, chest X-rays are performed to look for lung changes caused by TB. Combining these methods helps doctors accurately identify and treat TB effectively.
