Taussig–Bing anomaly

Taussig–Bing anomaly is a rare congenital heart defect where two specific problems occur together: a large opening between the lower heart chambers (ventricular septal defect) and abnormal blood flow from the lungs to the body due to a narrowed main artery (pulmonary artery). This combination causes oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor blood to mix improperly, leading to insufficient oxygen delivery to the body. It often results in cyanosis (blue skin) and requires surgical correction to restore normal blood flow and oxygenation.
