Tata Airlines (now Air India)

Tata Airlines, established in 1932 by the Tata Group, was India's first commercial airline. It was initially a small operation flying passengers and mail within India. In 1946, it was renamed Air India. Eventually, the Indian government took full control in 1953, transforming it into the national airline.
