Tartessos

Tartessos was an ancient, wealthy civilization that thrived around 1000–500 BCE in southern Spain, near modern-day Cádiz. Known for its rich metal resources, especially silver and gold, it was a significant trading hub connecting the Mediterranean with other early cultures. Although much of its history remains mysterious due to limited archaeological evidence, Tartessos is thought to have had advanced culture, distinctive art, and possibly traded goods like ceramics and metals.
