Tartar invasion

The Tartar invasion refers to the series of military campaigns and incursions by the Mongol and later Tatar forces into Eastern Europe and parts of Asia from the 13th to the 15th centuries. After Genghis Khan unified the Mongol tribes, his descendants expanded their empire, including brutal raids and conquests. The Tartars, often associated with the Golden Horde, caused widespread destruction in regions such as Russia and Poland. These invasions significantly influenced the political and cultural landscapes of the time, leading to the rise and fall of various states and altering trade routes across Eurasia.
