Tarjih Council
The Tarjih Council is a deliberative body within certain Islamic organizations, such as Muhammadiyah in Indonesia, that guides the community on religious and legal matters. It brings together scholars and experts to study Islamic teachings, interpret religious texts, and issue recommendations or rulings (fatwas) on contemporary issues. Its purpose is to ensure that religious practices and decisions align with the principles of Islam while addressing modern societal challenges, fostering unity, and maintaining religious integrity through collective reasoning and scholarly consensus.
