
Taqi al-Din Ahmad ibn Taymiyyah
Taqi al-Din Ahmad ibn Taymiyyah (1263–1328) was a prominent Islamic scholar from the Middle Ages, known for his rigorous interpretation of Islamic teachings and law. He emphasized returning to the original sources of Islam—Qur'an and Hadith—and was critical of innovations and unsubstantiated beliefs. His teachings influenced many later Islamic thinkers and movements.
