Tape loops

Tape loops are a method of creating continuous sound recordings by splicing a strip of magnetic tape into a circle. When played, the same segment repeats endlessly without interruption. This technique allows artists to produce repetitive, hypnotic soundscapes or sound effects. Tape loops were historically used in music and experimental audio to explore evolving textures, rhythms, or atmospheres. Essentially, they enable sounds to sustain or cycle back on themselves, creating immersive auditory experiences through a simple, looping mechanism.
