Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly
The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly is the elected law-making body of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It consists of representatives called Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs), who are chosen through elections held every five years. The Assembly debates and passes laws on state issues such as education, health, and infrastructure. The political party or coalition with the majority of seats forms the government, led by the Chief Minister. The Assembly also plays a vital role in checking the executive’s actions, ensuring governance is accountable and aligned with the needs of Tamil Nadu’s residents.
