Tamasheq
Tamasheq is a language spoken by the Tuareg people, a nomadic ethnic group primarily found in the Sahara Desert across countries like Mali, Niger, Libya, and Algeria. It belongs to the Berber branch of the Afro-Asiatic language family. Tamasheq has its own unique alphabet called Tifinagh, which is used for writing and cultural identity. The language reflects Tuareg history and traditions, serving as a vital part of their social and spiritual life. Though mostly oral, Tamasheq is increasingly being written down and preserved amidst modernization and cultural change.
