Tajik nationalism
Tajik nationalism is the sense of pride and identity among Tajik people, emphasizing their cultural heritage, language, and history. It emerged partly in response to Soviet rule and regional influences, aiming to preserve Tajik traditions and establish a unified national identity. While advocating for national interests, it also seeks to strengthen Tajik sovereignty and cultural integrity within Central Asia. This nationalism can influence politics, social cohesion, and regional relations, shaping Tajikistan’s approach to issues such as language policies, border disputes, and cultural preservation.
