Taiyi

Taiyi, often translated as the "Supreme Unity," is a key concept in Chinese philosophy and Daoism representing the ultimate, unindividuated source of all existence and cosmic harmony. It embodies the primordial unity from which everything originates and to which everything returns. Taiyi signifies the fundamental, unmanifested principle underlying the universe’s continual process of transformation and balance, emphasizing the interconnectedness of all things. It is both a metaphysical ideal and a creative force, guiding the natural order and spiritual cultivation toward harmony with the Dao.
