Tahr

Tahr is a type of large, goat-like mammal native to mountainous regions of New Zealand and parts of the Himalayas. Known for their impressive horns and sturdy build, they are well-adapted to steep, rocky terrain, where they often graze on grasses and shrubs. Tahr are herbivores, important to their ecosystems, but have also become a managed species due to their desirability for hunting and conservation efforts. They are generally social animals, living in groups, and are valued both ecologically and recreationally, contributing to biodiversity and local economies.
