Taguba Report
The Taguba Report is an official investigation conducted in 2004 by Major General Antonio Taguba, examining abuses at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. It revealed that U.S. military personnel engaged in mistreatment and torture of prisoners, including physical abuse, humiliation, and degrading acts. The report concluded that these actions resulted from a failure of leadership and inadequate oversight. It led to disciplinary actions against several personnel and prompted wider discussions about military conduct, prisoner rights, and accountability in detention practices.
