Tánaiste
The Tánaiste is the deputy prime minister of Ireland, serving as the second-in-command in the government. They assist and stand in for the Taoiseach (prime minister) when needed, and often oversee specific government departments. The Tánaiste is usually from the same political party as the Taoiseach and is appointed by the president on the advice of the Taoiseach. This role ensures continuity of government leadership and helps coordinate policy implementation across Ireland’s executive branch.
