T-Cell Immunotherapy
T-cell immunotherapy is a cancer treatment that helps the body's immune system, specifically T-cells, recognize and destroy cancer cells more effectively. It involves modifying or enhancing a patient’s T-cells—immune cells that identify and attack threats—so they can better target cancer. This can be done by extracting T-cells, engineering them in a lab (like CAR-T therapy), and then reintroducing them into the patient's bloodstream. The goal is to boost the immune response against cancer, often leading to more precise and potent treatment, especially in cases where traditional therapies have limited success.
