SysVinit

SysVinit is an older system used by Linux and Unix operating systems to start and stop programs when the computer boots up or shuts down. Think of it as a set of instructions that ensures all the necessary services, like network connections or user login, are properly launched in the correct order during startup. It organizes these tasks into scripts, allowing the system to manage and coordinate them efficiently. Although newer systems like systemd have largely replaced SysVinit, it still forms the foundation of how some Unix-like operating systems handle initialization processes.
