System Bottlenecks

A system bottleneck occurs when a specific part of a process or system limits overall performance, much like a narrow pipe restricts water flow in a plumbing system. In computers, this might be a slow processor, limited memory, or a slow hard drive that prevents the system from running smoothly or quickly. The bottleneck causes delays and reduces efficiency because other components can’t perform at their full potential until the bottleneck is addressed. Identifying and improving this limiting factor helps optimize the entire system for better performance.
