Syro-Aramaic language

Syro-Aramaic is a form of the Aramaic language historically spoken in the Western regions of the ancient Near East, including parts of modern-day Syria and surrounding areas. It developed around the 1st millennium BCE and served as a common language for commerce, administration, and religious texts among various peoples, including some Jewish communities. Throughout history, it influenced the development of Hebrew and later evolved into various dialects. Today, it is largely extinct but holds significance for understanding biblical texts, historical inscriptions, and ancient Middle Eastern cultures.
