Syrian Intelligence

Syrian Intelligence agencies are government organizations responsible for national security, gathering information, and monitoring threats within and outside Syria. They include several agencies like the General Intelligence Directorate and the Military Intelligence Directorate, each with specific roles such as counterespionage, surveillance, and political monitoring. These agencies work to protect the regime, control dissent, and gather intelligence on opposition groups, foreign entities, and regional adversaries. Operating often in secrecy, they use various methods, including human spies, electronic surveillance, and intelligence analysis, to maintain the government’s security and stability amid internal conflicts and external pressures.
