Syndactyly
Syndactyly is a condition where two or more fingers or toes are fused together either partially or completely. This occurs during fetal development when the tissues that normally separate the fingers or toes do not form properly. The degree of fusion can vary, affecting the appearance and mobility. Syndactyly can occur on its own or as part of a syndrome. It is often corrected through surgery, especially if it interferes with hand or foot function or appearance. This condition is relatively common and can be inherited or occur spontaneously.
