Syllogisms

A syllogism is a form of logical reasoning where two statements, called premises, lead to a conclusion. If the premises are true and properly structured, the conclusion necessarily follows. For example: "All humans are mortal" (major premise), "Socrates is human" (minor premise), so "Socrates is mortal" (conclusion). Syllogisms help us evaluate arguments and determine if they are logically valid. They are a foundational tool in logic and critical thinking, ensuring that reasoning is consistent and conclusions are supported by the given premises.
