Swissair Flight 111 was a commercial flight from New York City to Geneva that tragically crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near Nova Scotia on September 2, 1998. The crash was caused by a fire in the fuselage, which started due to electrical problems and faulty wiring within the aircraft’s entertainment system. The fire quickly spread, impairing the crew’s ability to operate the plane and communicate effectively. Despite their efforts, the aircraft ultimately ran out of control and crashed, resulting in the deaths of all 229 passengers and crew onboard.
