Swiss Council of States

The Swiss Council of States is one of Switzerland's two chambers in the national parliament, representing the country’s 26 cantons (regions). It functions as a legislative body that reviews, amends, and approves laws alongside the National Council. Each canton, regardless of size, sends two representatives, ensuring regional interests are balanced at the federal level.
