Swine Flu

Swine flu, also known as H1N1 influenza, is a respiratory infection caused by a virus that originally spread among pigs but can infect humans. It spreads through respiratory droplets when people cough, sneeze, or touch contaminated surfaces. Symptoms are similar to regular flu, including fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, and fatigue. Most recover fully, but it can be serious, especially for vulnerable groups. Preventive measures include good hygiene, vaccination, and avoiding close contact with infected individuals. Swine flu gained global attention in 2009 when it caused a pandemic, but ongoing surveillance helps manage and prevent outbreaks.
