Sweet wine
Sweet wine is a type of wine that contains a higher level of residual sugar, giving it a rich, often fruity flavor. It is made from grapes that are either naturally high in sugar, harvested late when they are very ripe, or affected by grape-specific conditions such as being affected by noble rot. This results in a wine that tastes smooth, luscious, and often less dry than typical wines. Sweet wines are enjoyed on their own or paired with desserts, cheese, or spicy dishes. Popular examples include Sauternes, Moscato, and Port.
