Swedish Security Service
The Swedish Security Service, known as Säkerhetspolisen (Säpo), is Sweden’s national agency responsible for maintaining national security. Its primary duties include countering terrorism, protecting sensitive information, preventing espionage, and ensuring the safety of government officials and critical infrastructure. Säpo conducts intelligence gathering and investigations to identify and neutralize threats to Sweden’s security. It also collaborates with other national and international agencies to protect the country from internal and external security risks. Essentially, Säpo works behind the scenes to safeguard Sweden’s democracy, institutions, and citizens from security threats.
