Swedenborgian church

Swedenborgianism, or the New Church, is a Christian denomination based on the teachings of Emanuel Swedenborg, an 18th-century scientist and mystic. It emphasizes personal spiritual experience, the importance of divine love and wisdom, and a belief in the soul’s ongoing development after death. The church interprets the Bible spiritually, viewing it as a symbolic guide to understanding God, life, and the afterlife.
