Swastika

The swastika is an ancient symbol featuring a cross with its arms bent at right angles, often rotating clockwise or counterclockwise. Originating thousands of years ago, it has appeared in diverse cultures worldwide, symbolizing concepts like good luck, prosperity, and spiritual unity. However, in the 20th century, it was adopted by the Nazi Party in Germany, becoming associated with hate, racism, and the atrocities of World War II. Today, the swastika's meaning varies widely: it remains a positive symbol in some Eastern religions, but in many Western contexts, it is primarily linked to its association with Nazi ideology.
