Swaras

Swaras are the basic musical notes used in Indian classical music, similar to the solfège system in Western music. There are seven primary swaras: Sa (do), Re (re), Ga (mi), Ma (fa), Pa (so), Dha (la), and Ni (ti). These notes form the foundation for melodies and are used in various combinations and scales to create intricate tunes. Each swara has a unique pitch and expresses different emotions. Swaras are essential for capturing the texture, mood, and flavor of Indian classical compositions, serving as the building blocks for musical expression.
