suspension fork

A suspension fork is a component on a bicycle's front wheel that absorbs shocks from uneven terrain, providing a smoother ride. It consists of a sturdy stanchion tube connected to the wheel and a spring or air chamber inside that compresses when hitting bumps. This mechanism helps maintain better control, reduces rider fatigue, and protects the bike’s frame by dampening impacts. Suspension forks are especially useful on mountain bikes for rough trails, but are also used on other bikes to improve comfort and handling across different riding conditions.
