Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is an annual series of fundraising events aimed at raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research, education, and support. Founded in 1982 by Nancy Brinker in honor of her sister Susan G. Komen, the event includes both competitive and non-competitive races, encouraging participants to run or walk to promote breast cancer awareness. Proceeds support local and national programs, as well as groundbreaking research to improve treatment and prevention. It has become one of the largest and most recognized breast cancer fundraising initiatives globally.
