Surgical sperm retrieval (SSR) is a medical procedure used to collect sperm from men who may have difficulties producing sperm naturally, often due to blockages or other issues. During the procedure, a doctor uses a tiny needle or makes a small incision to access the testicles or the epididymis (where sperm is stored).
