Surgical masks
Surgical masks are disposable barriers designed to protect both the wearer and others from the spread of respiratory droplets that may contain viruses or bacteria. They typically consist of multiple layers of non-woven fabric that filter out large particles and droplets. Worn properly over the nose and mouth, surgical masks help reduce the transmission of infectious agents, especially in medical settings or during outbreaks. They are not airtight and do not offer complete protection but are effective in minimizing exposure to infectious droplets from coughs, sneezes, or talking.
