Suppressive Person

A Suppressive Person (SP) is a term from the Church of Scientology referring to someone who actively opposes or criticizes the organization and its teachings. They are seen as a disruptive influence that hinders others' spiritual progress. Scientologists are encouraged to avoid or disconnect from SPs to protect their own spiritual well-being. This concept is based on the idea that such individuals spread negativity and interfere with personal and group advancement. However, outside perspectives often view it as a way to label dissent or disagreement, and the term is specific to Scientology’s belief system.
