Supporting Role
A supporting role refers to a part played by an actor or participant that is essential to the main story but not the central focus. In films and theater, supporting characters contribute depth, context, and richness to the narrative, often interacting with the lead character to advance the plot. Outside entertainment, a supporting role can also describe a position or function within an organization or project that provides assistance, expertise, or resources to help achieve the primary goal, without being the main decision-maker or leader.
