A superconducting qubit is atiny electronic circuit made from special materials that conduct electricity perfectly without resistance at very low temperatures. In quantum computing, these circuits can exist simultaneously in multiple states (called superposition), allowing them to perform many calculations at once. They are fast, controllable, and scalable, making them a leading platform for building quantum computers. Essentially, superconducting qubits harness superconductivity and quantum mechanics to process complex information more efficiently than traditional computers.
