Superadobe

Superadobe is an eco-friendly building technique that uses long, rolled-in-barrel-shaped sacks filled with earth, stacked in a specific pattern to create sturdy, sustainable structures. Developed by architect Nader Khalili, this method utilizes natural, locally available materials, reducing environmental impact. The compacted earth walls provide good insulation and strength, making it suitable for homes, emergency shelters, and artistic designs. Superadobe structures are durable, resistant to natural elements, and can be built with relatively simple tools, offering an affordable and eco-conscious alternative to traditional construction methods.
