Originally humans, they were transformed through exposure to forced evolutionary experiments involving radiation and chemicals, resulting in massively enhanced size, strength, and durability. These mutants often exhibit aggressive behavior and have fewer human-like qualities, sometimes sacrificing intelligence. They typically live in hostile environments and pose threats to the game’s protagonists. Despite their intimidating appearance and behavior, their origins highlight themes of unintended consequences from scientific experimentation.
